Create one for It's, another for It's not, It's not gonna, etc and just place them one after the other (you will need the text alignment set correctly for that). Obviously, you can work around this by using multiple text clips. Just for fun, I set up the same thing in Vegas 16 and had the same problem. I tried all sorts of stuff and it always failed the exact same way.

In Vegas 15 and set this up the exact same way as you. I do notice that you have the text alignment set to centre instead of left justified, but it won't make a difference to what you're trying to do. However, when it comes to play it back, it draws the text relative to the centre of the boundary box as though the boundary box is at its biggest size (ie at the end of the clip). As you add more text to the line, the bounding box around it obviously grows. I can see what it's doing and why, but that doesn't help. I tried to replicate your problem in Vegas 15 just to see what was happening. If you scale the size of the text up and down, it's all done relative to the anchor point. The anchor point is nothing to do with where the text is displayed - it's the point of reference for scaling. I can tell you a couple of things though. I'm afraid I'm not going to be of help here because I don't know what the answer is.
